POLISH JANUSZ KORCZAK ASSOCIATION (PSK) is a social organization promoting and popularizing the humanistic ideas and creative achievements of this outstanding educator, writer, publicist, doctor, social activist, and above all, defender of children's rights. The PSK is located in Warsaw in the historic building of the Orphanage at 6 Jaktorowska street (old street Krochmalna 92), an experimental facility created for almost 30 years by Janusz Korczak/Henryk Goldszmit and Stefania Wilczyńska. Polish Janusz Korczak Association creates and implements projects in the field of education, culture and art, upbringing and prevention addressed to children, youth and adults. It deals with the promotion and protection of children's rights and the development of self-government and various forms of civic activity of the youngest in the local, national and international environment. It undertakes rehabilitation and rehabilitation activities for children and young people with disabilities, supports the amateur artistic movement of the youngest and develops their interests and passions. The Association inspires and initiates studies on the achievements of Janusz Korczak/Henryk Goldszmit, disseminates their results and cooperates with institutions interested in the Korczak legacy and its creative application. It is an organization that joins the public debate and expresses its position, especially in situations of violation of children's rights and limiting the autonomy of the school. It cooperates with various entities and enters into partnerships that help achieve the goals it sets for itself. PSK brings together schools, facilities and institutions bearing the name of Janusz Korczak or working with children and young people using Korczak methods. In Poland, it creates a federation of regional Korczak Circles. The Association is staffed exclusively by volunteers.
