Canada

The Janusz Korczak Association of Canada (JKAC) envisions a world in which children realize their well-being and human rights as valued and equal members of society.

Established in 2002, JKAC is dedicated to preserving Dr. Korczak’s legacy as it integrates Dr. Korczak’s historical contributions with contemporary approaches to working with and for children to better their lives. JKAC promotes the well-being and human rights of all children in various ways: advocacy, education, public events, and collaborative partnerships with individuals and organizations dedicated to improving children’s lives, particularly children in vulnerable circumstances. JKAC has an international presence as it joins 24 countries with common agendas as a member of the International Korczak Association.
