"The Korczak Center for Education," in the spirit of Janusz Korczak and Stefa Wilczyńska was founded on November 29, 2019 and is situated on the campus of Hadassa Neurim Youth Village, central Israel. The center is a social educational initiative aimed at instilling Korczak’s humanistic-democratic-dialogical legacy on various social and educational platforms, for educators, parents, and children. The center promotes research for the development of the educational legacy and its adaptation to education in the 21st century, enhancing children's rights as expressed in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child adopted in 1989. At the center we hold educational programs and events that emphasize the child as a full person and a young citizen of their country. We believe that by presenting the actions and documents of Korczak and Stefa alongside their educational approach will ultimately lead to a better education and a healthier society.
